Baptism is one of the foremost commands given by Christ to His disciples.  Jesus himself requested water baptism at the beginning of his ministry and sent his followers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."  Matthew 28:19

Baptism is an outward symbol of an inward transformation; a transformation that occurs through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life!  Baptism is also a pledge before the church of your covenant with God, to walk in obedience as members of His body. As Anabaptist Mennonites, we believe baptism should occur upon an adult believers profession of faith.

For those considering baptism, a Catechism class is offered every year.  Lecture, plus group discussion format, helps you understand and appreciate baptism as God intended.

At Bethesda, we understand that baptism and membership go hand-in-hand.  Scheduling of baptism, frequency, location and mode (including pouring, sprinkling or immersion) is coordinated by the Ministry Team and the Board of Deacons.

Are you interested in being baptized?  We welcome you to give one of our pastors or deacons a call.
